A String of Christmas Lights...

Being intentional about cultivating the fruit of the spirit in our lives, in order to reflect the glory of God and the beauty of Christ, should be a priority in our prayer closets and in our lives. Recognizing we need help is a great starting point. Persevering through prayer time and reflection is a must. How God will move in our lives requires patience--
already challenging our soul to sprout a fruit of the spirit!

I find it interesting how an author described the nine fruits as a strand of Christmas lights -- if one bulb goes out, the entire string goes out. All must be evident to be God's fruit. In order for us as believers, to bear the fruit of the spirit we must :
  • Spend time in God's Word
  • Spent time in prayer
  • Obey God's commands
  • Renew our commitment to Christ
Personally prayer is a struggle, and I pray that God ignites a fire in my heart to spend MORE time in prayer.

Life

"Life is a journey, not a destination."
I am learning this more and more with each passing day...
