Fruit of the Spirit


"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another."

Have you ever found yourself at a place where your past comes whispering to you, wooing you back? 

If not, you are lucky. 

If so, you are amongst most of us. 

In the times where there are mountains placed before us,  its important to remember how far God has brought us, the journey we have traveled, and the scars we have from fighting our way through the battle for a greater life, a more meaningful existence. Sometimes this is extremely difficult, and that is when we need to turn to God's Word for revelation. When we cannot find anything within us (our flesh/emotions/mind) that screams--this trial is going to be worth fighting through!! WE, as believers in Jesus Christ, must turn to His Word and let it renew us, let it draw us out of the self-focus and onto something greater. God Himself. 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Philippians 4:8

When we choose to do this, we will find ourselves transformed into something far more beautiful than we'll ever know. A true testimony of God's love, power, and faithfulness. 

He wants to transform you - mind, will, and emotions. My prayer is that your focus will remain on that truth, that nothing you are facing, is too large for God.
